Position: Mechanical Draughts Person
Location: Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000

The Mechanical Draughts Person Role:
A Mechanical Draughts Person is required to work with Cargo Engineering to produce/check mechanical drawings and move documents through lifecycle process.

The applicant should be very well organised and will have the ability to work in a structured manner under pressure.  It is essential that the applicant is hard working and can take on additional responsibilities should they see the need to. They are looking for an applicant who is a quick thinker and a strong learner. They will also need to work comfortably in a team, whilst it may also be necessary for them to work alone on their own initiative. It helps if the applicant has an eye for the finer detail particularly in the design process.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Draughts Person:

• Produce/check drawings including fabricated structures, sheet metalwork, machined components and assemblies.
• Work closely with the document control team to ensure that all documents correspond appropriately.
• Move drawings and documents through life cycle changes within Autodesk Vault and Oracle Agile.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Autodesk Inventor design experience essential. 
• Autodesk Vault experience required along with Oracle Agile lifecycle management tool.
• Experience of design for manufacture with a background in production.

Knowledge, Training and Qualifications:

• Microsoft office products.
• HNC in mechanical preferred although equivalent industrial experience will be considered.
