SITE MANAGER

Due to continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit a Site Manager with experience in commercial builds.

You will be a highly experienced Site Manager, with experience of running projects ranging in price from £500k to £5m across the UK. Ideally you will come from a commercial build background and be adept at managing trade’s teams, subbies and liaising with the end client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a broad range of projects, to the highest standards of safety.
  • To create and develop the success of projects through a clear strategy and proactive commitment.
  • Responsibility for managing the client’s expectations in a competitive environment
  • To take a key role in delivering project team objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player.
  • To oversee the complete management of projects, including site inspection, monitoring programme and addressing defects.
  • To plan, control, drive and deliver projects to a successful conclusion.
  • To liaise with other members of the team to ensure consistency of service delivery and to identify opportunities for developing both the quality and profitability of the service.
  • To manage sub-contractor work packages on site.
  • To manage Health & Safety on site including the associated paperwork.
  • To gain the confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication.
  • Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager

Relevant Skills and Qualifications

  • CSCS card
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid certificate
  • Full clean driving license 
  • Experience in managing new build and extension projects from groundworks to completion
  • Excellent communication skills and calm under pressure
  • Literate and numerate with good IT skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
  • The ability to advise and guide colleagues in a supportive, interactive fashion, ensuring that programmes are agreed, targets set and deadlines achieved.
  • Working within live environments would be looked upon favourably
