Quality Engineer - FAIRS - AS9102
• Our client is a reputable Aerospace manufacturing business seeking contract Quality professionals to support First Article reports to AS9102 standards and support
• The position is a contract based in the Derby area.
Quality Engineer - FAIRS - AS9102
Responsibilities
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) and prepare documentation
• Completion of all internal and external documentation relevant to the inspection/ testing of product or process, EG. Work card, inspection reports, First Article Inspection Reports, Non-conformance Reports etc.
• Reading, interpreting and understanding of drawings, work cards, specifications and other relevant technical documents.
• Writing / amending of procedures / work instructions as required.
• Control and review of all specifications including the update and filing as required.
• Carrying out Internal audits in line with the internal audit plan.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
• Aerospace AS9102 First Article Inspection reporting essential
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• Computer literate, ideally with sound knowledge of Microsoft office packages (excel, word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good problem solving skills.
• Conversant with Quality procedures and with inspection techniques.
• Have the ability to read, use, understand and interpret all aspects of engineering drawings
• A good standard of written and oral communication skills
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Experience of working in a pressurised environment
• Experience of using measuring equipment and other inspection techniques
• Willingness to work weekends and unsociable hours as and when required to meet customer demands
