Senior HR Officer - Blackburn

We are now seeking a proactive HR professional to join our HR Shared Service Centre at Blackburn (BB1) as a Senior HR Officer for a Maternity Contract. Key objectives will include providing a consistent, timely, accurate and customer focused HR advisory service to key stakeholders and customers, contributing to the achievement of the Business Unit (BU) and HR Shared Service Centre`s overall vision and strategy.

The Role
Provide advice and escalated guidance for the UK businesses, including, but not exclusive to: disciplinaries/grievances, people management casework, absence management, capability, reorganisations, redundancy, TUPE, retirement etc.
Administration and management of complex/ tier 2 HR processes and procedures.
Provide accurate and timely admin support and specialist HR advice to managers and employees.
Promote and educate the business in regards to self service provision where appropriate, proactively improving the HR Intranet at every opportunity.
Advise and coach managers with disciplinary and grievance issues, including production of supporting correspondence in line with the Company`s Disciplinary/Grievance Procedures
Participate in regional HR activities to support operational HR colleagues and learn from first hand on the job experience.
Proactively review and update HR policies/procedures in line with business and legislative developments
Monitor, analyse and report management information on key HR data
Ensure effective HR Services delivery and take the lead on BU acquisitions and divestitures

Experience
CIPD qualified
Generalist HR experience, ideally in a shared service centre environment
Prior experience of working in a busy, customer and results focused environment.
Experience of working with structured business policy and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply in a logical manner
Generalist HR knowledge developed in large organisation.
Knowledge and experience of HR Information Systems, Web enabled IT tool and software such as Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Knowledge of Workday / Ceridian / I-Trent / ADP beneficial
Ability to work towards tight deadlines with high volumes and conflicting demands.
Strong interpersonal skills and team player
Responds positively to change and remains focused on aspects that can be influenced.
