Corporate CIO is responsible for the delivery of IT services to our Corporate Bank. We shape and deliver the portfolio of change in addition to managing the BAU live service to ensure that our clients have uninterrupted access to the critical services they require to run their business.

About Cash & Channels

The cash & channels team are responsible for change delivery for a number of products to meet the cash management and reporting needs for our Corporate & Business Bank clients globally. The systems include Barclays.Net, File Gateway, iPortal and associated integration with middleware (BEM), customer data (CDI) and downstream payment engines and accounting systems.

The team have developed a detailed understanding of the end to end data flows, in addition to the functionally rich user interfaces and underlying technology. The team are balancing the continued need to functionally enhance the channels to support UK, Africa & Europe product strategies, migration of clients from legacy platforms, alignment to the Digital Client Access strategy and ensuring the performance, stability & security of the products meet the demands of our growing client base.

Overall Purpose Of Role

The role will report to the L3 technical lead and be primarily responsible for the provision, support and stability of the systems. This will include collaboration with a number of teams across BCI, IS, Africa & external vendors. Identification, validation and implementation of tools to proactively identify and mitigate any risks with potential to impact our clients. The role will work closely with the Project management team to ensure any required changes have structured project plans and appropriate focus alongside other scheduled functional delivery.

Key Accountabilities

The role will have a number of key responsibilities, which include

Environment Build, Integration and Configuration of environments including adding Windows features, testing server connectivity and communication via the creation and monitoring of routes, hosts files host based firewalls, Certificate creation, installation and distribution, tuning of IIS and NCache components, SSl/TLS and cipher configuration. Install, configure and maintain CA SSO siteminder and Oracle DSEE on linux servers and CA SSO webagent on IIS Install, configure, generate war file, deploy and maintain webagent option pack on Jboss servers in linux environments. Configure, monitor and troubleshoot replication in LDAP Create, install, exchange and troubleshoot certificates within SSO estate and with other identity providers. Working experience in CA and oracle communities and support sites for troubleshooting issues, proactively monitor security/vulnerability updates and licensing updates. Test environment support - defect triage / resolution for issues with the components using tools such as network monitor, openssl, grep , tail, Fiddler and Logparser Release & Configuration - deployments to all test, production & DR environments DevOps - scripting/automating the release and configuration processes using strategic tools such as GIT/STASH, NOLIO, Jenkins and familiarity with PowerShell scripting. Automating Housekeeping jobs for log archiving Production Support - L3 incident management and supporting DR invocation and testing using tools as for test environment Tech Debt / Strategic initiatives - Infrastructure & Software upgrades, Patching, Certificate Management Alerting & Monitoring - working with the Infrastructure Services and tooling teams on installation and configuration of CA APM (Wily), AppD, Ganglia, Galaxy, Azure, Evolven, NIMBUS, Tivoli ITM6

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

The role will also be the primary interface for RtB/L2 and Client Servicing, there will be a need to work closely with RtB and technology vendor teams to identify root cause of issues and drive the resolution. Occasional need to provide technical support for high severity incidents and work with clients on specific performance / configuration related issues.

Decision-Making & Problem Solving

In addition to problem solving skills for technical issues, the role will entail integration support & technical consultancy for new development with iPortal/BWO, API, Payment Hub, GSS, Mobile Solutions. Close interaction and collaboration with the architecture, security and end to end design community.

Technically competent in a wide range of technologies, including Unix (AIX/Linux), Windows, .Net, IIS, CA Siteminder (SSO) and nCache Experience with automation and DevOps tools such as GIT/STASH, Jenkins, Nolio, NEXUS, SHELL scripting and Groovy Experience with alerting and monitoring tools Collaborative, resourceful and resilient Strong problem solving capabilities - Ability to use experience and knowledge to resolve problems heuristically or analytically depending on urgency and importance Strong verbal and written communication (ability to succinctly summarise detailed technical updates) Experience working with 3rd party vendors in multiple geographies Ability to work with all levels of seniority Structured and able to prioritise and plan own work Knowledge of tools and industry developments
