Shepherds, part of Epwin Group Plc are recruiting a Trade Counter Assistant / Driver at their branch In Eastbourne.
The Role
This varied role requires someone who enjoys giving good customer service whether you are serving behind the trade counter or out and about delivering goods to the local area or undertaking stock transfers between branches. You will be involved in trade counter sales which will include face to face and telephone enquiries, you will be required to use the computer for invoicing, loading and unloading deliveries, stock control and assisting customers with sales and other associated tasks as directed.
Duties
- Include loading and unloading stock, vehicles, customer deliveries and assisting customers with sales and other associated tasks as required.
The Person
- Must hold a current full UK driving license.
- IT literate with the ability to operate a computer and the company computer system.
- Customer focused with a pleasant approach to customer service.
- An understanding of the home improvement market together with a good knowledge of the local area would be a distinct benefit.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Will be required to join the rota and work Saturdays once trained as required.
- Have knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace
Hours of work:
44.5 per week, between MONDAY-FRIDAY 7.30am,-4.30pm
Alternate Saturday mornings (after training) on a rota 8.00am-12.00pm
