We have an excellent opportunity available to work within our HR team, at our Head Office on the outskirts of Maidenhead. You will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the department and providing administrative support to the HR team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure into many aspects of HR.

The HR Assistant main responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Dealing with 1st Level disciplinary calls, writing invite letters and advising Line Managers on potential outcomes.
  • Writing disciplinary outcome letters and dismissal letters, ensuring these are logged appropriately.
  • Dealing with Maternity, Paternity and Shared Parental Leave.
  • Dealing with Flexible Working requests, including sending out forms, logging, arranging meetings, co-ordinating and advising on meetings. Attending meetings where required.
  • Dealing with the employee life cycle for Head Office, including producing employment contracts, keying onto the HR system and requesting references.
  • Managing probationary periods for Head Office employees, creating letters and escalating any issues which may arise.
  • Producing weekly and monthly reports when required.
  • Ad hoc administration tasks such as salary review letters.

In order to be considered for this HR Assistant role, you must have the following:

  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines and to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to stores and distribution centre (based in Coventry) , with occasional overnight stays as and when required.
  • Strong administrative skills and good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results
  • Previous experience in a HR Administrative role.
