Job Brief:

To ensure the efficient running and profitability of restaurant and manage the team. Responsible for the business performance of the restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.

Main Responsibilities: Business Management:

• Responsible for business performance of the restaurant
• Analysing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability
• In conjunction with Marketing team, organising marketing activities, such as promotions and special offers
• Prepare reports at the end of the week, including staff control, food control and sales
• Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development
• Setting budgets and/or agreeing them with senior management
• Planning and coordinating menus

Team Management:

• In conjunction with HR, recruiting, selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, , and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations
• In conjunction with HR, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job performance of employees

Front-of-house responsibilities:

• Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
• Managing staff and providing them with feedback
• Responding to customer complaints
• Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards
• Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations
• Advising customers on menu and wine choice
• Recruiting, training and motivating staff
• Organising and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiting and cleaning staff

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
• Checking stock levels and ordering supplies
• Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required
• Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Restaurant Manager
• Relevant training certificates (as appropriate)
• Knowledge of business management principles and practices
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Knowledge of cost control procedures and best practice
• Knowledge of human resource management practices
• Knowledge of administrative procedures
• Knowledge of relevant computer applications, and cash/stock deficit investigations
• Computer literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Perform related duties and ad hoc requests as assigned by the Managing Director

Position: Restaurant Manager
Salary: Competitive rate + Service Charge share, tips, bonus
Location: Central London, UK (They currently have 6 restaurants in Central London)
