LOCATION: Rochester, Kent

JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative/Driver

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP17,500.00 + bonus + excellent benefits package

WORKING HOURS: Full Time- Monday - Friday 42.5 hours per week (8.5 hrs per day)

THE ROLE: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative/Driver covering all of Kent and South East London. The purpose of the position is to provide a professional and efficient delivery service in accordance with relevant legislation, company EHS and quality policies.

Key Responsibilities to include:-
• Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
• Assist in loading assembled orders onto vehicle ensuring that the payload is within the limits for the vehicle and that the permissible axle weights are not exceeded and that goods are safely loaded for transportation and delivery
• Ensure duties are carried out within legal requirements complying fully with the requirements of the Company Operators Licence.
• Ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed on time, in full on a daily basis, utilising the relevant route planning tools
• Deliver to customers as directed and assist with unloading and taking to final delivery point as requested. Report any problems with delivery sites.
• Communicate all customer problems and sales opportunities to the branch sales team promptly
• Present a professional image to the customer, be pleasant and courteous at all times and comply with company dress requirements.
• Report any accidents immediately
• Picking delivery orders & checking deliveries off as per Company Code of Practice.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, thoroughness and a methodical approach to work. You will have a genuine interest in ensuring all the needs of customers are met in a way that benefits both the customer and the organisation. You will be an excellent team player with willingness to work extra hours or help out in areas outside of your role.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the role:-
- A full driving licence you can use in the UK (Essential)
- 7.5 tonne licence (Essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic and highly driven individual
- Ability to work under pressure to meet (and exceed) targets
- Good knowledge of South East London and Kent
- Warehouse experience (preferred but not essential)
- CPC Qualified
- Fork Lift Licence (preferred but not essential)
