Purpose:

As a Technical Buyer within our prototype build team, you will work within a small team, responsible for the procurement of technical parts within various commodities.
You may have an Engineering background with a strong interest in purchasing, which would be ideal as you will have the opportunity to propose new commodities for the design community to review.
You may even have experience from a technical purchasing role, where you have been responsible for procuring a wide range of components and systems for other industries not related to automotive/motorsport.
Regardless of your background you will be working to a lean procurement process, so you will need to procure many parts at a rather quick pace, with cost v price and value in mind.
This isn't a strategic buyer role, you will be exposed to brand new technology development, working on sport, super and ultimate series vehicles. There will be a variety of responsibilities involved with this role, which will also present unique challenges, creating a continuously learning environment but also providing meaningful experiences.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Proven background in a purchasing role procuring a wide variety of technical parts or an Engineering background with a demonstrable interest in procurement.
Previous experience in cost control, cost awareness v price
Confident in making decision making and exploring new commodities
Educated to degree level in suitable discipline i.e purchasing, engineering, industry qualifications would be advantageous (CIPS)
Strong interest in new technology and passion for purchasing
