Landscaper / Gardener

Working for one of the UK's leading Facilities Management companies, who have traded for over 75 years. You will be working on a prestigious government contract on a number of office buildings around the Liverpool area. The company can offer real job stability and career progression.

General Overview:

• Lawn Mowing
• Line trimmer
• Hedge cutting
• Weeding / identifying and reporting invasive species
• Application of Herbicides
• Litter picking
• Shrub planting
• Leaf collection including the manual handling of bulky waste and use of mechanical blowers.
• Maintaining drains and gutters
• Minor repairs to fencing or other external structures.
• Maintaining tools and vehicles to high standards.
• Maintaining and completing paperwork to required standards.

Any other reasonable duties that should arise pertaining to the landscape operations as defined by supervisor.

Qualifications or Required Experience:

• Full UK driving license (Towing license preferable)
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, often as a lone worker.
• Must be physically capable of handling commercial tools and handling heavy objects on a daily, repetitive basis.
• Must be prepared to work unusual hours including occasional weekend shifts according to the needs of the business.
• Certificate in Horticulture or amenity landscaping OR 3 years equivalent practical experience in horticulture or amenity landscaping or similar discipline.
• PA1 / PA6 spraying license.
• Certificates in the safe operation of horticultural equipment such as mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers and blowers OR 3 years equivalent practical experience of using such equipment.
