Sheet Metal Worker

An opportunity has become available for a sheet metal worker to join us. We are a leading bespoke design and manufacturing company based in Bolton, Lancashire. The majority of our customers are in the food and pharmaceutical sector.

The Role

The role involves the development and fabrication of stainless steel equipment. We expect you to have the experience and knowledge to apply best practices.

You will be working alongside the works manufacturing team and to self-manage workloads, under the direction of the works manager.

The Job

The core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to;

• Experience of working to tolerances and measurements
• Strong sheet metal/fabrication knowledge
• Marking out/templates/developments
• Previous experience on fabrications forconfectionary and pharmaceutical industries would be advantageous
• Welding knowledge an advantage
• Experience of working with stainless steel

The Candidate

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Build and maintain relationships with colleagues
• Good communications skills
• Quick to pick up internal processes and procedures
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and approach to engineering tasks and challenges
• Pro-active and willing to help and support colleagues
