The Company is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs and can easily be accessed either by car (junctions 8-10 on the M25) or rail (Ewell West is close and the college is next to Ewell East where you can get regular direct trains to Clapham Junction and Victoria). The College was last inspected in February 2016 retaining its overall grading of 'Good' under the robust new Ofsted standards.

We are currently recruiting to the following position:

Estates Officers

Up to £18,350 p.a.

The Company are looking to appoint enthusiastic people with DIY skills to join our Estates team, and ensure our vibrant and developing campus is safe and welcoming. The role is varied with duties including: locking and unlocking the college, setting up rooms for classes and events, moving furniture, delivering goods around the college, and undertaking minor repairs and general maintenance.

You will have good communication skills and be adaptable in your approach to changing priorities. You will enjoy working as part of a team, but equally comfortable working alone and using your own initiative.

Previous experience would be beneficial but training will be provided.

The following shift patterns are available:

 Mon to Thurs 04.45 - 13.00, Fri 04.45 - 12.45, Sat on a rota basis (approx. 1 in 7)

 Mon to Thurs 14.00 - 22.30, Fri 14.00 - 21.00, Sat on a rota basis (approx. 1 in 7)

 Sat 10.30 -17.30, plus 4 days during the week 04.45 - 13.00

The Saturday rota for shift patterns 1 and 2 involves working 06.30 - 13.30, for which time off in lieu will be given, with the opportunity to work until 17.30, for which overtime will be paid.

Occasional Sunday work may be required again for which overtime is paid.
