Our client is a registered children’s charity that helps young people and their families in Essex. They are currently seeking to expand their team and are looking to recruit specialist child trained counsellors and psychotherapists willing to work across Essex. It is essential that applicants are car drivers.

They offer bespoke holistic therapeutic services to children, young people and their families. Their referrals come from schools, support hubs, CCG’s, social care and families themselves. Therapeutic work takes place at their head office in Chelmsford and at various other locations in Essex. In addition to therapy and counselling, they also provides a mentoring service, coaching, social work and complementary therapies.  

Their current clinical team includes a range of qualified practitioners as well as psychotherapists and counsellors in training. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to offer interventions on a time limited (up to 12 sessions) and more open ended basis. Initially you will be self-employed and will have a minimum of 7.5 hours available for Kids Inspire clients.  

They are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are trained in the following: Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Creative Therapies, Music Therapy, Theraplay, DDP and EMDR.  Counsellors must hold membership of BACP/UKCP/HCPC.

Rate of Pay - £20 - £50 per session (depending on post qualification experience).

Placement Opportunities:

They offer supported placements to counselling and psychotherapy trainees. Clinical Supervision is available if required with UKCP/BACP/HCPC supervisors. In addition students are provided with a case manager and are given opportunities to take place in peer supervision groups.
