What you can expect

This Data Management Senior Analyst role will be responsible for deploying and managing the European level Customer Data Strategy from implementing a governance process to providing input/aligning with the Global governance process. Role will also serve as the business owner of the European Customer Hub and will develop, manage the European level Data Privacy and a customer focused data privacy strategy.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Develop the European level customer data strategy documents, which will be used to demonstrate the business data requirements for any Customer Data related processes & tools
  • Implement customer data governance process ensuring that requests and changes are controlled and documented correctly
  • Define, establish and maintain a proper data consolidation process that ensures all Customer Data sources are identified, collected, harmonized and consolidated into the relevant customer data tools properly
  • Identify and evaluate all Data sources providing customer data to GM business units operating in Europe, and markets Opel/Vauxhall are operating in.
  • Develop, establish and maintain a comprehensive Customer Data
  • Consolidation standard according to the requirements of the scoped markets/brands
  • Identify and evaluate existing standards
  • Identify additional common/special requirements
  • Develop, agree on, and establish standard approach
  • Provide consolidation results to Customer Data Governance Board
  • Develop and drive business case to approval
  • Manage projects end to end
  • Execute product rollout plans in time, budget and quality
  • Ensure risks and issues are properly identified and mitigated
  • Ensure high level of project quality
  • Manage GMIT and related vendors
  • Drive improvements in customers Marketing Opt In coverage, set annual targets and develop action plans with markets
  • Develop, agree on, establish and maintain key metrics and reports (e.g.
  • Data Consolidation Level, Data Quality Issues and Resolution)
  • Provide metrics data and reports to Customer Data Governance Dashboard
  • Run the Customer Data Governance Dashboard
  • Manage the Market rollout of the new Data Stewardship service including transition from existing services and training
  • Manage Governance of the Data Stewardship service including driving improvements and getting best value for the service provided
  • Define, establish and maintain a proper Customer Data validation process to improve data quality and accuracy to a highest possible level
  • Investigate and provide details to define a Data Quality Rules Framework
  • Develop, establish and maintain a best practice guide for creating high quality Customer Data
  • Improve customer data quality
  • Identify, verify and eliminate orphaned records
  • Identify, verify and eliminate fake entries
  • Identify, verify and eliminate data duplication
  • Increase customer data standardization and normalization
  • Work with GMIT to leverage sophisticated data cleansing tools across scoped market/brands
  • Provide regular Customer Data Quality reportings to Customer Data Governance Board

What we expect

A successful candidate for the Data Management Senior Analyst role should have the following:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Mathematics and/or IT
  • Excellent and key expert knowledge in data analytics definition and development, data management, data consolidation, and data quality improvement
  • Well familiar with the GM Information Technology organisation
