The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) is a leading disability organisation operating in Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands.

Our mission is ‘to build a sustainable business to empower disabled people to take control of their own lives and to actively seek out opportunities to achieve their full potential as individuals in mainstream society’.  This is at the heart of everything we do.

Journey to Employment (J2E) is an exciting new pilot project being funded by DWP for an initial 12 months, to offer disabled people and those with long term conditions an alternative approach to employment support. 

Service Manager

Full Time – 36.5 hours per week

Salary NJC SCP 33-36 £29,323 - £31,601 per annum

12 month fixed term contract

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead, manage and support the delivery of 2 new Employment and Training Programmes. This will include delivering the J2E pilot project in Birmingham.

Candidates should have a lived experience or expert knowledge of the barriers disabled people and those with long term conditions face; experience of working at management level in a related area; a track record of successfully leading and managing services and teams; a good knowledge of the employment and skills market and possess a degree qualification or equivalent.
