Randstad Education are actively looking for entry level/experienced/and/or qualified Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their team for immediate work across the Haringey area.
These immediate roles can be based in one of a number of schools across North London and can be part time or full time, temporary with the opportunity of long term and potentially permanent offerings for successful candidates. Our Teaching Assistants support a variety of needs (SEBD/EBD/AUTISM/ADHD/Dyslexia/Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome) across both Primary & Secondary, Mainstream and SEN Settings. The work offered could be on a 1:1 or small group basis depending on the school & level of students.
Working on an immediate temporary basis gives you the freedom to not only chose your work each week, but it also gives you the opportunity to work at a number of schools building on your experience & knowledge quickly, creating potential long term & permanent openings along the way.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with special needs (Primary or Secondary)
- A minimum of 3 months experience working in a classroom setting
- Be flexible & adaptable
- Have experience with Makaton / PECs / Team Teach (desirable)
- Be calm & positive with a supportive approach
- Have key transferable skills (if less than 3 months experience in the classroom)
