Foot Anstey have an exciting opportunity available for a Paralegal to join our Clinical Negligence team based in Bristol. You will receive a highly competitive salary & benefits package.

As our Paralegal - Clinicial Negligence you will provide an important contribution to the overall work of the Clinical Negligence/PI Team and supporting the Team Leader with the ongoing growth and development of the team activities.

Key responsibilities as our Paralegal:

- To work with the Team Leader and others within the wider Clinical Negligence/PI team to offer support to the client base as required.

- To carry out research into legislation, case law etc  as required

- Attend and take notes of meetings as well as attend court with counsel

- To draft relevant documentation and provide administrative support to senior fee earners as required.

- To ensure appropriate quality service and compliance for all matters in accordance with agreed standard policies

- To consistently meet all KPI and targets and any other broader objectives as agreed on a quarterly and annual basis as part of the Team plans

- To be a role model for the Foot Anstey Values and encourage the others to do the same

Skills and Attributes needed to become our Paralegal:

- A basic knowledge of Clinical Negligence/PI law.

- A  flexible and enthusiastic approach and the capability to work well and flourish within a team environment.

- The ability to undertake research and produce required reports

- The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively

- Excellent all round communication skills including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other colleagues internally, both within the wider team and across all practice areas.

- The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures within the Firm, in particular:

- Achieving targets

- Managing account balances

- Managing your own debtors

- Providing access rights for your calendar, mail box and voicemail and your Lexcel supervisor to ensure that these are checked in accordance with Standards of Service (see below)

- File management in accordance with Lexcel procedures

- Proven commitment to working within a quality standard environment

- Commitment to ongoing professional and personal development including self awareness and self reflection and continuous improvement
