Room Leader

We are seeking a baby room leader and a 3-5 room leader (new position) to join us and help us improve and deliver outstanding care to up to 20 babies & toddlers in our lovely nursery at Horsham. The successful candidate will be an experienced level 3 or above practitioner with at least 2 years experience. The role requires you to work closely with the manager and deputy to deliver and develop our space into a wonderful place for children to grow learn and play. You will assist us to select resources, develop policies and improve our quality by leading and supporting the practitioner team.

Our Nursery has places for 50 children aged from 3 months to school age.The nursery is located at the northern end of Horsham town centre within a short walking distance of the railway station. We are open 8.00 am - 18.00 pm for 51 weeks a year. We work a four day week.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a positive approach to working with young children and show that they are progressive and capable of leading a busy room to the highest standards.

Essential criteria include: knowledge and practical experience of delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); knowledge and understanding of the diverse needs of children and families; good communication skills, both written and verbal; the ability and confidence to communicate effectively with parents and build good relationships; knowledge of safeguarding the welfare of children; experience of working with and contributing to a team and the desire to develop new skills through professional development.
