Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a secondary school in the Harrogate. The Head Teacher is seeking a qualified Humanities Teacher to teach their Year 9, 10 and 11 classes. This long term vacancy is open on a full time basis commencing as soon as possible. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their ability to drive results forward and motivate all students to reach their full potential

Based in a quiet area Harrogate, this highly successful Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school is very well resourced and serves a small catchment area. The Head Teacher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven professional to join their Humanities Department and inspire students to realise their full potential. Staff are extremely welcoming and the students are motivated learners, who enjoy coming to school. Applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced teachers.

The successful applicant will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK
Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum for Business Studies
Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
A commitment to improving attainment for all students
A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
