This fantastic secondary school serves a real diverse community, with student from a wide variety of socio-economic and ethnicity backgrounds. It has an enviable reputation for the effectiveness of its inclusion team in supporting those that need that little extra. Many of its pupils arrive with very little in the way of English language skills and come from economically deprived areas. Their 'Pupil Premium' and 'Catch up' funding is deployed in a hugely effective way resulting in a very high proportion of these student matching more fortunate peers in terms of attainment. The Science Department has expanded in recent years, with a focus on specialists teaching their chosen Science subject - so this is a great opportunity if you feel you excel with your subject knowledge.
