JOB TITLE: Charity Fundraisers
SALARY & BENEFITS: Permanent contact - GBP12.50 p/hr on average earned from commission rates with a guaranteed base rate of GBP8 p/hr
WORKING HOURS: Flexible - Minimum of 3 days per week including weekend working.
THE COMPANY: Our client is wholly owned by a partnership of 8 Wildlife Trusts. The company was formed in 2013 to provide face-to-face (F2F) membership recruitment services for the members of the company.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Area Manager, if successful for the role of Charity Fundraisers will be to recruit new members for the client. This position is based in Bedford but there are other opportunities based in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities of Charity Fundraisers to include:-
- To recruit new members for the client.
- Explain Gift Aid and encourage prospective members to sign up to the Gift Aid scheme (if paying a sufficient amount of UK tax)
- Maintain and care for all equipment and recruitment aids
- Keep up to date on the client's activity and keep the company informed of any issues that are of concern to local people or the venue provider
- Complete all relevant paperwork, reports and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner in line with management requirements. Including the use of IT where appropriate
- Attend any training events or days as organised by the client, at least a minimum of 2 per year.
- Represent our client in a professional and informed manner at all times, whether engaging with members of the public, other Trust staff & volunteers, or any other supporters.
Key experience essential for the role of Charity Fundraisers based in Bedfordshire:
- Must have driving licence with own transport.
- Ideally the candidate will have access to a computer at home with an internet connection.
- Having an interest in wildlife will be desirable however not essential.
