Solutia UK is wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman a global specialty chemical company that produces a range of advanced materials, additives, specialty chemicals, and fibres that are found in products people use every day. We have several openings at our Newport manufacturing site for operational positions following a shift rota.

The Person

Successful candidates will have relevant experience in a chemical or similar production environment and be used to operating to high standards of safety and quality.

The ideal candidate would be -

• Enthusiastic
• Quick learner
• Conscientious
• Flexible
• A good communicator
• Safety conscious
• Willing to be trained and able to work as an integral member of a team Knowledge of process control systems would be an advantage however full training will be provided

Roles include:

• Operating production units to support business targets
• Packaging products
• Loading and offloading road tankers
• Running and controlling the manufacturing process using state of the art control systems
• Following established safety procedures
• Monitoring the process at all times for deviations
• Troubleshooting
• Housekeeping to a high standard
• Following organisational code of conduct for business and ethics
• Engaging and participating in site - wide safety initiatives
