Weighbridge Operator

This company is a long established, independent family-owned business offering excellent quality and service in Skip Hire, Plant Hire, Trade and DIY Shops, Demolition, Trade Waste Collections, Road Sweeping and Agricultural Contracting. They supply services in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and surrounding counties.

Weighbridge Operator
- You will be operating the weighbridge to weigh vehicles in and out of the site and provide direction to incoming / outgoing vehicles to ensure effective traffic flow of vehicles around the site.
- You will make sure that our site is compliant with the site permit (specifically around acceptance of waste).
- As the weighbridge operator you will complete paperwork to ensure the site complies with legislation (e.g. weighbridge tickets, duty of care etc).
- Provide excellent customer service from you.
- Assist with updating spreadsheets (recording and calculating inputs and outputs for the site), controlling visitors and contractors.
- Processing Holiday/absences on system as required.
- Willing to travel to other sites as required.
- Any other ad hoc duties as requested by Manager.

Person Specification:
- Effective and confident communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent relevant Health and Safety legislation knowledge.
- Be able to operate in a compliant manner in a challenging environment.
- Self-motivated.
- IT literate.
- Be approachable and professional.
- Must possess excellent organisational skills. The ability to reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes.
- Demonstrate understanding and works to exceed expectations.
