The Client

My client is looking to recruit a number of chefs to assist in the day to day running of an exciting, established Sushi, Noodle and Bento restaurant in the bustling heart of Birmingham City.

With 2 already flourishing establishments in Birmingham my clients restaurants specialise in the professional production of Japanese cuisine.

From traditional noodles and sushi to bento boxes and fusion dishes, my client has a flair for creating authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine. Only the freshest ingredients and traditional techniques are used to craft each dish with all food cooked fresh on-site each day.

The Role
If you are a friendly, dedicated, committed chef who loves to have fun at work as well as work hard and reap the rewards then this position is for you. Offering a four week training period my client is looking for a number of chefs to help make their newest establishment the best of its kind in Birmingham.

Previous experience in Japanese cuisine is not essential as a dedicated training team will take you for a four week training course and teach you in the ways of professional Japanese cookery, however, basic knowledge and understanding of a working kitchen is a must. A food hygiene certificate is also preferred with a working knowledge of HACCP, Health and Safety as well as knowledge of stock rotation and labelling systems.

There is excellent scope for internal promotion with my client as they prefer recruiting internally and promoting their current employees before looking to source from external parties.
