This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on team-player wanting to further their career in Merchandising. The successful candidate will have several years of experience working in a buying/merchandise environment, and be flexible and adaptable enough to grow into this new and varied role within a small and busy team.

  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Be highly organised.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Be a proven problem solver.
  • Supply chain management and E-commerce experience would be an advantage.

The job role:

  • Working closely with the Merchandise Manager in the day to day running of the product range covering all sales channels, particularly retail and mail order.
  • Weekly monitoring of store sales/stock/cover and working with the branch merchandiser to react where needed to provide stores with correct levels of stock.
  • Seasonal retail space planning in all stores.
  • Manage options in low space/high turnover stores to maximise sales densities by close monitoring.
  • Working closely with ASMs on any focus stores identified.
  • Identifying slow and fast moving product lines to maximise stock efficiency and aid sell through.
  • Size scale analysis in all product areas
  • Meeting with external customers to assess requirements, discuss in season progress and resolve any issues arising.  Prepare sales reports for these meetings.
  • Monitoring line cards on all continuity products and advising Merchandise Manager of any action needed.
  • Learn and understand the supply chain procedures, liaising with suppliers and freight forwarders to help out in busy periods and deputise when required.

If you have the relevant experience required and feel that this could be the opportunity for you, please apply ASAP. Please also state your salary expectations within your application.

*PLEASE NOTE – by applying to this position, you agree for your CV & cover letter to be submitted to our client, who shall contact you directly, should your application make their short-list*
