Process Improvement Accountant. Our client, based in Peterborough is looking to recruit an experienced Process Improvement Accountant to join their team on a 12 month contract basis. Our client, a wholly owned subsidiary is recognised as a leading manufacturer of industrial diesel engines.
This position is an exciting opportunity for an individual to support the team's projects around providing enhanced Management Information in key reporting areas, stream line current processes, as well support the changes required to the team's current processes with the transition to a new financial reporting system.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
*Map the team's processes in its current state and look for improvement opportunities
*Development of key management information reporting
*Develop existing accounting processes and procedural documentation
*Support the development of enhanced MI tools in line with business requirements
*Support the current team deliverables as financial systems transition
Qualifications -
Essential
* Educated to a degree level or qualified by experience.
* Professional certification (ACA, CIMA,ACCA or equivalent)
* Previous management accounting experience
* The ability to demonstrate strong customer focus
* Effective communication skills at multiple levels.
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* Initiative and innovation - ability to fit into a dynamic and fast moving Accounting team.
* Can demonstrate good process improvement experience
* Experienced user of Excel
