Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer job near Uttoxeter. Electrical bias. 4 on/ 4 off shifts. GBP36k + overtime.

Now looking to grow their Maintenance team they have a vacancy for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their highly skilled team.
Your new role
You'll join a team of Multi-skilled Engineers who are responsible for maintaining all equipment and machinery within the site. You will be following PPM schedules and re-acting to unexpected breakdowns. You will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site machinery and equipment is working safely and efficiently through the control of a documented PPM system. You will work closely with the production teams in order to provide an essential repair and maintenance service, responding to breakdowns promptly and implementing any corrective actions with a proactive and reactive approach whilst complying with Health and Safety guidance and good manufacturing practices.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a recognised qualification in an Electrical discipline, with a clear and logical approach to fault finding on a range of equipment including PLCs. You will also have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship. You will able to work on your own initiative alone and as part of a team, and will be a natural problem solver, driven to find fast, effective solutions and identify improvements. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be interact with a variety of colleagues at all levels, along with external contractors. Experience with Lean and continuous improvement techniques would be beneficial, as would FMCG experience.
