Our client has identified an excellent opportunity for an experienced, driven and ambitious Regional Sales Manager to join their expanding, flexible team working within the fast moving CTS Business. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to join a business that is financially stable, forward thinking and developing strategies for growth.
This is a newly created field based role designed to enhance our clients UK presence by delivering new business, and drive their growth strategy.
Position Summary
Working closely with the CTS Director and Sales Manager as Regional Sales Manager you will be expected to deliver enhanced sales levels through various existing and new routes to market. Additionally you will be expected to;
• Seek out and convert new opportunities to quality sales – increase sales with both current and new customers in the UK
• Develop new business opportunities through research, meetings and appropriate marketing activities
• Preparation of detailed quotations, ensuring sales targets and profitability are met or exceeded
• Build strong relationships with customers in the target market sectors to sell and develop the Company’s offering
• Prompt response to emails and sales calls, with a pro-active approach ensuring to follow up, and track leads and quotations to secure the closure of deals
• Provide excellent Customer support, including liaison with the Engineering Department in response to resolution of technical issues
• Managing orders including liaison with Production / Supply Chain to ensure excellent customer service levels
• Compile/analyse sales data, and produce weekly and monthly meeting reports
Who are we looking for?
The Regional Sales Manager will ideally be a focussed and driven sales professional with experience in dealing with utility companies, distributors and contractors.
Additionally, you will have the required skills and experience to thrive in this role, including;
• Educated to a minimum of degree standard with sciences or significant experience in a similar role within the industry
• A flexible attitude towards travel and working hours is essential, as is a full driving licence
• A naturally good and experienced Account manager, with an aptitude for customer service, and sales administration, combined with strong telephone skills to develop good relationships with key customers and the sales team
• Self-motivated, confident and autonomous worker, with a real team ethos and belief in supporting colleagues to drive the products and company forward
• Ability to converse in other languages French, German or Russian is desirable
• Knowledge and experience of export procedures ideally within the utilities industry
• Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise a wide variety of tasks
• Good commercial acumen with an understanding of financials and product profitability.
