AET are a specialist provider of under floor air conditioning systems. They manufacture under the AET Flexible Space brand, making use of production facilities in Asia and Europe. Their product range includes air handling units, fan assisted terminal units, and electronic control units.

This is an exciting position with sole responsibility for finance within the company and encompasses aspects of bookkeeping and accounting across two main businesses, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, quarterly VAT returns, banking control and reconciliation, inter-company control and reconciliations, production of annual statutory accounts, payroll, company insurance renewals and any other administrative and company secretarial duties.

The role will involve:

* Analysis of financial information and provision of reports, business plans and financial statements to Management as required
* Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations including the UK Accounting Standards
* Maintaining records according to the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities
* Day to day management and control of the company's bank accounts including foreign currency transactions. Includes posting receipts and payments and raising payments to suppliers and any other applicable entities
* Management of accounts receivable and ensuring debts are paid/received within the permitted timescales
* Management of accounts payable and ensuring invoices are authorised to enable timely supplier payments
* On-going control of inter-company balances
* Management of in-house payroll function using Sage payroll ensuring timely payment of employee salaries, pensions and monthly PAYE payments
* Production of annual P11D reports and subsequent Class 1A payments
* Production of quarterly VAT returns
* Production of monthly EC returns.
* Production of annual statutory accounts for submission to external accountant.
* Ensuring company insurances are renewed and managed.
* Filing of company confirmation statements (annual returns).
* Analysis and payment of director's expenses
* Control and posting of company credit card expenditure.
* Preparation/liaising with customers to ensure correct production of letters of credit.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who is resilient, professional, highly organised and structured, able to work methodically and accurately, paying attention to detail.

They should have excellent IT and telephone skills with good face-to-face interpersonal and communication skills, respecting confidentiality and deals with others in a tactful and sensitive manner.

With extensive knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software and Sage payroll software.
