An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Analytical Chemist to join our team of pharmaceutical professionals to work in our Analytical Services Team at Quality Context. Based in Sheffield, we are looking for someone who is organised, driven, confident, enthusiastic and hardworking.
Quality Context are keen to recruit someone who has a relevant degree and experience of working in an analytical environment for a demonstrable time.
The Analytical Services division provides a wide range of contract analytical services including QC release analysis, method development, method validation, stability analysis and compliance support.
Since being founded in 2009, the company has grown rapidly and due to its ongoing success, we are looking to expand our team further and for the right person to help us to continue to deliver expert quality solutions to pharmaceutical and healthcare businesses. In addition to Analytical Services,
Quality Context also offers support and guidance by providing the following services:
- Importation and Secondary Packaging
- Audit Solutions
- Technical Solutions
As an Analytical Chemist your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Working towards GMP standards at all times.
- Performing physical and analytical testing of client samples as required on a project by project basis.
- Following internal and client specific methodologies.
- Reviewing and verifying peers' data.
- Compliance with GMP and QMS requirements at all times.
- Managing and implementing functional specific work, associated with individual projects, such as analytical method development and validation in accordance with client requirements and relevant legislative requirements and guidance. (Dependant on experience).
- Undertaking method validation activities in line with ICH requirements or client specific requirements, as determined for each individual project. (Dependant on experience).
- Conducting research as required.
- Ensuring that laboratory housekeeping standards are maintained at all times and activity documented accurately.
An ideal Analytical Chemist will have the following skills and qualifications:
- A degree level qualification and demonstrative experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of and experience of working within a Quality Control environment.
- Methodical with the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines.
- Shows attention to detail at all times.
Preferable Skills and Experiences:
- Experience of working in a GMP environment is desirable but not essential.
In return for this:
You will be based at the office in Sheffield, close to the M1 and Meadowhall and current office hours are between 9-5pm. We are currently trialling flexible working hours where business demands allow.
- Full time 37.5 hours.
- Up to 25,000 salary, depending on experience.
- 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Contributory Company Pension Scheme.
- Childcare Vouchers.
We are a fast moving, networked and ambitious company. We work hard individually and as a team. Our clients are important along with the work that we do for them, but we like to have fun. We raise money for the Sheffield Children's Hospital because we care. We set out to walk 75KM because it sounded like a challenge and we enjoy socialising together.
