The successful candidate for this role will be a teacher of English with a proven track record of providing stimulating and inspirational lessons at both Key Stage 3 and GCSE levels. The school is rapidly improving, and the SLT are seeking to push expectations and results on through vigorous staff recruitment in key areas of school life.
As the successful candidate, you will be teaching mostly GCSE, with some KS3 teaching, with the continued raising of achievement and expectations at exam performance level being a departmental priority. The English department is highly-thought of in the school, having sustained strong examination results over the last 3 years. There is a strong collegiate ethos in the department, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to collaborative planning and shared Good Practice in the teaching team.
