PRODUCTION MECHANIC
Due to a retirement, we are looking for a PRODUCTION MECHANIC to join our can line production team, at our Wisbech plant.
Job Description:
You will safely operate high speed can manufacturing equipment, and undertake associated duties, including quality control checks, materials handling, data recording and other non-mechanical tasks. You will actively seek root causes of problems and help to implement effective improvements and solutions. After appropriate training you will conduct setting, fault finding and routine maintenance, in order to maximize performance, whilst ensuring quality standards and spoilage targets are met.
The role is on alternating double-day shifts.
37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday.
Ideal candidate profile:
You should have a mechanical aptitude and experience in a production environment. A current Fork Lift Truck license would be desirable.
With a safety mind-set, you are able to demonstrate a logical, proactive approach, attention to detail, and an ability to communicate effectively. You must be a team player who is hard-working, motivated and flexible.
You must be located within a reasonable travel-to-work distance.
