LOCATION: Havant, Hampshire
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative / Inbound Shipping Coordinator
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP15,000 - GBP18,000 dependant on experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30

Due to continued successful growth our client now seek an experienced and organised individual who can multi task and work in a reactive environment as a Warehouse Operative / Inbound Shipping Coordinator in Havant, Hampshire.
THE ROLE: As a Warehouse Operative / Inbound Shipping Coordinator you will work as part of a small and busy team in our clients warehouse picking and packing items and stock ready for dispatch/shipping. As a Warehouse Operative / Inbound Shipping Coordinator you will also be responsible in arranging imported shipments or airfreights on and as and when or ad-hoc basis, and will ensure these are completed and delivered to set deadlines. You will update shipping status' using a database and must ensure records are updated whilst liaising with the office and other departments during the shipping process.
Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative / Inbound Shipping Coordinator's role in Havant, Hampshire :
- Arranging different mode of international freight forwarding with nominated operators
- Booking FCL, LCL, Airfreight with relevant and required documentation
- Keeping the office advised and updating of shipment status
- Working in the warehouse order picking and packing
- Any other warehouse duties as and when requested by the management
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate must be a highly organised person who can work effectively and to deadlines in a reactive or fast moving environment. You should have previous experience in a warehouse environment, ideally within shipping, or distribution and must have good IT skills. Part of this role will require you to liaise with colleagues, operators and customers face to face and over the telephone so it is essential you have excellent communication skills both spoken and written.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Warehouse Operative / Inbound Shipping Coordinator's role in Havant, Hampshire :-
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Must have Good It skills and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have excellent spoken and written communications skills as well as a clear telephone manner
- Must have previous experience in a warehouse or similar role
- Previous experience within shipping would be an advantage
