Support Worker
As a United Response Support Worker, you’ll give people with learning disabilities the confidence and encouragement to become more independent. It’s a great feeling to make that happen.
And, you’ll be gaining plenty of skills and experience of your own too. This could be just the start of a career that begins with full training and offers real prospects.
We have full-time and part-time opportunities in Alvaston, Derby, shifts include weekdays, weekends, evenings and night support. A full UK driving licence is required and access to your own vehicle would be useful.

You’ll be joining the team in our service in Alvaston, Derby. The team supports people in the community and their own homes. The people in the service are very keen to get out
and make the most of life
Make it happen - your role
You’ll have a responsible role that’s really varied, sometimes challenging and often lots of fun. The job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support – You can help people to live as independently as possible, make their own choices in life and do the things they enjoy. Here are just some of the activities you could soon be supporting:
Cooking, cleaning and washing – Personal care - Paying bills/Managing household finances - Taking medicines - Going shopping - Baking - Going on day trips – Horse riding – Gardening – Applying for jobs – Going to work/volunteering – Watching sport – Playing sport – Using the internet and social media – Playing computer games - Zumba – Swimming - Attending health appointments – Going to the hair salon – Going bowling
