An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join RPC bpi.recycled products.

RPC bpi.recycled products is the largest polythene film recycler in Europe, with the scope and expertise to recycle up to 70,000 tonnes of plastic waste each year. As a leading reprocess or our wide capabilities include LDPE recycling and HDPE recycling - specifically we recycle plastics and polythene from industrial waste, packaging waste and agricultural waste sources.

Working for both the Rhymney and Dumfries sites, the Project Engineer will maximise the resources of both the people and projects that they oversee to ensure delivery of every project is on time, within budget and scope.

As a Project Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • In addition to the above it is expected that flexibility be maintained so that support can be given as required and as is reasonably practicable, to all departments.

An ideal Project Engineer will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Work related degree preferred
  • Proven working experience leading projects
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus

In return for this you will receive a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
