Title: Commercial Vehicle Spray Painter
Reports to: Bodyshop Manager
Based at: 19F Follingsby Park, Gateshead
Job Purpose: Preparation, Spray Painting and Finishing of Commercial Vehicles.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Mainly to:
- Prepare the surfaces to be covered
- Setting up spray equipment
- Applying Priming Coats
- Mix required colour to exact match and consistency working with Computer controlled Scales and Mixing equipment
- Applying Main Coats and Finishing Coats
- Polishing where necessary
- Checking completed jobs as part of quality control
- Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment and areas
- Possibly Working from ladders or raised platforms
- Always ensuring correct and proper use of PPE Equipment
