An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join us at our office in Glasgow.

Within this role, you will provide the full range of quantity surveying services, working alone or as part of a team, including interim valuation, final accounts and claims. You will have responsibility for the provision of a professional and cost effective quantity surveying service both pre and post contract.

You will undertake all pre and post contract quantity surveying duties including the pricing of variations and will control all facets of cost, budgetry and value analysis.

You will manage effectively the processing of valuation certificates and documentation to ensure efficient income recovery, preparing contractual documentation all in accordance with relevant contract conditions and Company procedures.

In addition, you will also manage certification and payments to sub-contractors and will advise on best practice and performance management.

In order to be successful in this role, you will be qualified or working towards a Degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying or similar.  With thorough knowledge of building construction, types of contract and quantity surveying procedures you should also have experience in the Social Housing Sector.

In addition, you should have the ability and experience of taking quantities from sketches and drawings work up and abstract dimensions in accordance with standard method of measurement seventh edition.

As this role involves a Variety of Refurbishment works for a number of Social Housing clients throughout Scotland, it is also essential that you have experience in this field.

This position comes with a car as standard.

 

Candidates for this role must hold a full UK driving licence
