They are looking for an experienced policy officer to join our company’s small yet dynamic policy, public affairs and campaigns team, as they seek to influence the public policy agenda on issues relating to social care, learning disability and mental health.

You will play a crucial role in building their influence with Government, Opposition and relevant legislation as well as researching and writing policy responses, briefs and contacting key stakeholders. Internally you will brief senior staff on policy issues, as well as gathering evidence from within the organisation to help develop their own policy lines and responses. You will also work closely with their press team to ensure the promotion of their policy and campaigns works.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal communication. You will have a good understanding of British politics, the British parliamentary system and how to influence it.

In return, they offer a salary of £28,000 with 25 days’ annual leave, a stakeholder pension and other staff benefits. This role is a full-time position, offered as one year fixed term contract (with the possibility to extend) and is based at their head office in south west London.
