Are you passionate about Disaster Risk Reduction?

Our client has an exciting opportunity to work with them on Disaster Risk Reduction.

They support governments (national and sub-national), donors and practitioners in disaster risk reduction, disaster preparedness, early warning systems, hazard mitigation and disaster risk management. They work to bring their experience and best practices to scale through their consultancy services, whilst collaborating with cutting edge research to bring external best practices back. 

In this role, you will support cutting edge research (e.g. into landslide early warning systems in South Asia) or to support learning and development of guidance for practitioners and donors (e.g. on climate information services in Africa). You will help capture and share knowledge on Disaster Risk Reduction and work collaboratively with colleagues and partners internationally, focusing on research, innovation and impact at scale.

They are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual, with experience of disaster risk reduction in the context of international development and experience of research, project management or consultancy work. You will be joining a growing team, with a strong project portfolio, in an organisation with a positive and engaging culture, where there is a real focus on training and career development.

Salary: £28,654 to £35,778 per annum (depending on experience)

Plus Comprehensive benefits package

Based:  Warwickshire, UK

Contract: Initial one year fixed term contract (with possibility of extension)
