I'm seeking a Product Manager to join a growing and ambitious electronics business based near Crewe. The company are a successful design and manufacture organisation who provide advanced technical devices and solutions for harsh environments.
Reporting into the President of the Advance Product team, you will take a proactive approach to managing the full lifecycle of the product portfolio. We are seeking a professional individual with leadership skills with the ability to "get things done" with a diverse team of professionals. You are also required to have excellent public speaking skills with the enthusiasm to be a product evangelist.
Your key responsibilities include the following
* Take a proactive approach to managing the full lifecycle of the company's product portfolio.
* Understand industry trends and anticipate future customer expectations to enable the business maintain their position as leaders in the industry
* Take ownership of one of the key product families and defining the products and strategy for critical growth
* Identify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and monitoring competitor activity
* Identify potential new product opportunities for the EA marketplace
* Create, manage, and monitor business plans for all new products
* Manage structured pricing reviews to ensure retained margin
* Working cross functionally to develop and implement a go-to-market plan
* Identifying potential partner relationships for the product portfolio
* Work collaboratively with other areas of the business (including Engineering and Marketing) and serve as the external ambassador for your product offering
Experience and qualification required
* A proven track record managing a portfolio of products, with the ability to demonstrate technical acumen
* Experience working in an high technology electronic product or software development environment
* Experience working within an environment is desirable
* Proven business and commercial acumen
* A history of managing products into growth
* Excellent public speaking skills with the enthusiasm to be a product evangelist
* Managing dynamic priorities, setting deadlines and ruthless efficiency
* Experience working a regulated product development environment
* An understanding of process industries such as oil and gas, chemical or mining
* You will be able to generate 'big picture' ideas but have the tenacity to drive them through to reality
