DrebbeLogic is recruiting for a Senior Control Systems Engineer on a contract basis.
Our Loughborough based client has an increased workload due to the approval of capital investment for the site. As a result a need for an additional Control Systems Engineer has arisen.
Essential skills and experience:
-Project Engineering experience in the Manufacturing or Chemical Industries sector.
-Experienced Electrical or Controls Engineer preferred (10 years+).
-PLC/SCADA expertise.
-Significant Allen-Bradley PLC capability.
-Excellent safety record.
-Strong interpersonal/organisational/project management skills.
-Ability to integrate well into the team, work closely with customer groups/suppliers to agree scope/specifications, develop quotations, place orders and manage delivery/installation/validation of equipment on time and within budget.
Desirable skills and experience:
-Automated Assembly Equipment
-Functional Safety/Safety Related Control
-Allen Bradley Drives and Motion Control
-Gauging Systems experience
-Vision Systems experience
-Web Handling - Tension Controls and Steering
Main responsibilities:
-Development of project scope
-Preparation of Engineering Specifications
-Cost estimating
-Supplier selection
-Order placement
-Design reviews
-Schedule management
-Supplier management
-Acceptance testing
-Installation Supervision
-Commissioning
This is a 12 month contract and has good promise to extend.
