To be considered you will need to be a passionate lead teacher who has outgrown their current remit or a current motivated Head of English seeking a fresh challenge who has the ability to drive results. The ideal individual should be able to work just as well independently as them might in a team, and demonstrate first class curriculum knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a teaching ethos that does not exclude any pupils, accidentally or intentionally from opportunities to learn. You will be able to demonstrate a natural manner with children and have confidence in your capabilities.
About the Head of English Role
In this Head of English post you will be expanding your duties as the leader of a committed department. This Head of English position involves inspiring and developing the children in your classroom to reach their full potential. You will be tasked with introducing teaching methods that can show benefits throughout the school. Your duties will include grading a mixture of lessons to ascertain your team members, ability and aptitude. All training and development needs you have will be catered for as the school prides itself on offering superb CPD for all of its staff. You will be working with the deputy head in developing your departments curriculum to keep it up to date and in line with exam expectations.
