Are you passionate about supporting Primary school children with special educational needs (SEN), and would like to expand your skills as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant?

This welcoming Leeds Primary School are looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for September 2017, who can hit the ground running immediately and make a positive impact instantly with the students that have special educational needs (SEN).
The school is looking to take on a recent Psychology graduate with at least a 2:1 degree, excited to make an impact to the school and its pupils. The role requires an ambitious, resilient personality with good communication skills, but do not worry if you do not have previous school based experience as there will be lots of on the job training for the successful 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
The 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will be an integral part of the schools inclusion team supporting those pupils facing barriers to their learning. You will support learners who have specific learning and behaviour plans, and you will help them achieve their goals, either on a 1:1 or small group basis.
You will work closely with both primary classroom teachers and the primary schools SENCO to ensure that the children's physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs are being met and are achieving positive educational outcomes.
