Salary: £DOE

Our client is looking for an experienced data scientist to join a fast paced global organisation in Herfordshire. Client is a data driven organisation growing out their data science offering in the UK. This is the chance to have a standalone and key role in the business as they grow their data science capability. Client is a well established in the UK and Europe and have a growing presence in the US.
Key responsibilities
Design predictive models
Transform large, complex data sets into actionable insights
Leverage data to identify, quantify and develop business value
Work independently, across teams
Be the go-to guy for data
Clearly communicate insights to non technical audiences
Apply machine learning techniques
Derive insights and analysis from customer data
Present findings to senior management and stakeholders
Required experience:
Skilled mathematician
Educated to Masters, PhD or equivalent in a quant field (Physics, Comp Science, Maths, Bio, engineering etc)
Minimum 5 years experience in a relevant role
Strong technical skills re machine learning, programming and data analysis
Strong working knowledge of Python, Hadoop, SQL, R, Perl and/or Excel
Strong communicator
Statistical modelling experience
