Print Production Assistant

At 30 years old, our client has a great reputation for large format printing including design, production and fulfilment. Their customers include national brands for which they provide display, exhibition as well as interior and exterior large format print solutions.
Over the last 3 years they have grown by 50% and are continuing on this upward journey. To do this they need a new, highly motivated Print Production Assistant to join their team.
They offer a flexible, open and free ranging opportunity in a forward thinking, family company
Position Summary
As Print Production Assistant, your role will involve regularly check printing matches the artwork proofs. You will also be required to:
• Produce a range of products using various print processes, ensuring all products are printed on time and in line with company quality standards
• Setting up machinery prior to print and ensuring they are maintained and operated in line with company health and safety policies
• To run a printing machine with effective time management to produce jobs on schedule
• Reporting any issues regarding product, print or machinery to line manager
• Ensuring production environment is clean and tidy
• Preparing orders for print, packing/unpacking products, and preparing them for the next orders
About you
Ideally you will have experience working in large format production environment or interest in the print/sign industry. You should also have:
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes to ensure a consistent way of working
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to learn and retain large volumes of information
• Accountable, reliable, punctual and self- motivated
• Hard working and willing to do overtime in busy periods
• Must be able to work on your own initiative, problem solve with ease and be comfortable working within a small/medium team
• Ability to work within a production environment
• It is essential to have a ‘can-do’ attitude and work with the production team to learn the products, processes and systems within the company.
Suitable skills/experience: Print Room Assistant, Large Formant Print Finisher, Print Assistant, Print Operative, Trainee Print Operative, Sign Maker
