Financial Controller / Management Accountant

The successful candidate will be expected to manage and control the accounting and finance department, reporting to the Founder and Managing Director. The company turns over in excess of 10 million pounds per year and requires an experienced financial manager/management accountant to implement and improve financial controls and reporting in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with finance regulatory laws, whilst building the foundations of a key finance department for the future growth of the Company. Supervision and management of Accounts Assistant in the daily accounting routines. To be responsible for the cash flow management and to prepare cash flow forecasts. Liaise with company auditors, respond to bank information requests, manage supplier and other bank payments, develop the management reporting in a timely manner to include the future statistical KPI reports, development of company systems and processes to improve efficiency, challenge expenditure requests on a daily basis, other ad hoc tasks as required. Experience of implementing and upgrading financial accounting and management reporting packages.

Profile:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of the motor industry, as well as providing financial guidance in terms of development of the company.

Tasks include:
- Production of monthly management accounts and report KPI's within the management accounts pack
- Liaising with key suppliers of the business
- Liaising with HMRC regarding VAT, PAYE and corporation tax
- Looking after the company HR
- Managing the sales invoice and stock system integration with accounts system
- Bank reconciliations, cash flow management and forecasting
- Review vehicle pay outs and customer accounts
- Liaising with company auditors
- Responding to bank information requests
- Managing supplier and other bank payments
- Developing the management reporting packs including the future statistical day to day KPI reports
- Developing the company systems and processes to improve efficiency
- Challenging expenditure requests on a daily basis, other ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills Required:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a financial controller of a company with turn over in excess of £5m.
