Who are we?

Telligo is a French company specialised in organising themed camps for children aged 6 - 17 years. The camps we offer used to be mainly science camps, but we now feature English language camps during spring, autumn and summer breaks as well. The aim of these camps is to help the children to gain confidence when they speak English, and we do so through a series of fun and relaxed workshops. Each camp has a fascinating theme (May the force be with you, Welcome to Wizards School, etc.), in order to give the children a chance to rediscover learning English through their own passions.

A fun summer job

For language camps, a third of our camp coordinator are native English speakers. We are looking for dynamic and outgoing native English speakers, aged 18+, who are keen to work with children and happy to be part of a young international team. This job is a lot of fun, and a chance to gain a sense of responsibility through childcare. We offer a fixed term contract with minimum wage pay (8h/day)*, and adequate insurance. All of our French camp coordinators are fluent in English, so you will not be isolated from the rest of the team.

Main duties/responsibilities

On a typical day, each camp coordinator will manage two fun and interactive workshops in the morning. In the afternoon, camp coordinators will organize a variety of entertaining activities, games and excursions. 

List of duties:

• Supervising children’s daily routine (wake-up, meals, showers, tidying up, bedtime, etc.)
• Organising and managing entertaining workshops in a supportive fashion so that the kids feel confident when participating and speaking
• Organising and leading afternoon group activities (team games, visits, sports, etc.)
• Taking part in the evening social sessions with the children. Candidates will be required to work 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. We offer short-term contracts (but you can sign as many as you’d like) with minimum wage pay and adequate insurance cover. Food and accommodation is provided on camp. 

What profiles are we looking for?

• Candidates must be 18 years old or older to apply
• Candidates must have British/Irish nationality (for employment law reasons)
• Candidates must be native English speakers
• A previous experience with children, First Aid Certificate… are a plus but not mandatory
• Attending a recruitment meeting in London is a requirement
• Speaking French is not necessary

Successful candidates will take part in a compulsory two days training session in Paris. The costs of this training (food, accommodation and transport) will be covered by Telligo.
