New opportunity not to be missed! Lancaster City Council has a unique opportunity available for a Catering Manager to join the management team. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of £22,658 to £27,668 per annum plus benefits.
We are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to drive the business forward at the newly developed Salt Ayre Leisure Centre Cafe. You must be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a desire to see the new development become a great success.
What are the responsibilities of the Catering Manager?
You will ensure the smooth operational running of the café including contribution to the menu’s, sourcing local suppliers, maintaining excellent cleaning and hygiene standards, and providing all customers with the highest levels of customer service at all times. You will also manage a small catering team and work with other managers across the leisure centre to ensure a high standard of customer experience is maintained.
What do we look for in a Catering Manager?
You must have supervisory experience of working within the catering industry and be able to operate catering appliances and have knowledge of the ‘Safer Food Better Business’ system. A current Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3 or higher is essential.

Hours of work:
Hours of work are 37 hours per week, working early 5 days out of 7 including morning, evening, weekend and bank holiday working.
