St. Mary's Playgroup is recruiting!

If you are qualified to at least Level 3 qualified or equivalent in early years childcare and education, have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and are passionate about the education of pre-school children, we would love to hear from you. Person specification

Essential criteria

• Willingness to learn.
• LEVEL 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience of working with young children.
• Sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Knowledge of child protection procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• An understanding of play based approaches to children’s learning and development.
• Commitment to equal opportunities.
• Commitment to working effectively with young children and families.
• Friendly and flexible approach at work which facilitates the development of effective relationships.

Desirable criteria

• Willingness to undertake further training.
• Current First Aid at Work qualification.
• SENCo training.

Terms and conditions

Hours: 24.25 per week during Trafford term times; 08:15-12:30, Monday to Friday

Salary range: £7.85 p/hr
